We are Daniela di Cesare and Malcolm Ayres, the proprietors of Podere Finerri. Daniela is an architect from Naples and Malcolm is an art history graduate from New Zealand. We met in Brazil in 1997 and after a few years of city life we sought a compromise between our different cultures and interests. We found it in Tuscany: the peace of country life and nature's beauty on one hand, and the history, art and architecture for which Tuscany is famous on the other hand. After a long search we found Podere Finerri, a romantic ruin among the Sienese hills, with 360° views. Three years on and we have created somewhere you also can enjoy with us and our two daughters. We are passionate about local cooking and wine. Discrimination and hate has no place in our home. We strive to make TLO a safe place for everyone. We celebrate love in all of its forms and pride ourselves on being a queer safe space. We have also found many secrets and gems of a Tuscany known only too a few, that we want to share with you.
