We have found drawings of Podere Finerri in the Catasto Leopoldino, the oldest Italian Land Registry, dated 1820. The dimension of the house was the same as now and was measured in “braccia quadre” arms squared as was in use at the time. Before that there are only a few mentions of a “farmhouse on the Finerri hill” so we guess the house is possibly two or three hundred years older, and can be dated to the 1500s. Just one part, as you arrive and near the well, is much older and is listed as an old country church from the 1300. The facade still shows the counrty church features.
