Begins in Rome and finishes 12 days later in Florence. The objectives are to see a number of fine historic Italian gardens reflecting the ideals and history of Italy from the time of the Roman emperor Hadrian, to the Renaissance and Baroque periods and to weave around visits to galleries, towns and places off the beaten track known only to a few.

Malcolm Ayres and Daniela di Cesare. Malcolm is from New Zealand, he is an Art History graduate from Auckland University and currently lectures in English at Siena University. He has been living in Italy since 1997. Daniela is an Italian architect specialized in restoration. Together they live at Podere Finerri, a 1700's farmhouse with a 360° view over the Sienese hills, where you will spend 6 days of your time in the southern Tuscany part of your journey.
